Bear
Bear
Posted 7/13/2005 - Bear - Performance/Working dog! Bear is a very nice looking 8 month old blue male. He is neutered, heart worm negative and UTD on all vaccines. This is a dog that is very active and learns fast. His energy level and intelligence are well suited for agility or fly ball. He is crate trained and has the basic commands (sit and down). He has great ball drive and will play fetch with your til your arm falls off!! Bear has never met a stranger, he is a very friendly guy. He was raised with children and cats and would do best as an only dog or with an only female who will be tolerant of his puppy energy. He needs a home with an active family who would like a dog to include in their activities. Bear is 18 to 18.5 inches at the shoulders and weighs 34 pounds now, but will probably "top out" at 40 pounds. Contact Sherri Vernon at 407-654-2182.

Sydney
Posted 6/1/2005 - Sydney - is a spayed female, up to date on vac's and heartworm negative. She is approx 2 years old, she is very good with children, and cats and dogs in the family. She is housebroken, very friendly, and understands basic commands. Please email Sandy at boomershad@aol.com for more info about her.
Wuffy
Wuffy
Posted 5/24/2005 - Wuffy is a neutered male, blue Australian Cattle Dog, probably close to two years old, still has that puppy exuberance. He is on heartworm and flea protection and is UTD on all shots, weighs a little over fifty pounds. He has a slight limp on his left hind leg, probably the result of an old injury, that he had when he came to our place, but it does not slow him down, he can more than keep up with my other dogs. I have been giving him glucosamine/chrondroitin which has definitely improved the limp. He came here during hurricane season, very malnourished and frightened of everything and everybody, obviously the result of mistreatment. It took us two weeks to get a very tight collar off him, but he has improved so much since then. He is still skittish and shy around strangers, but once he gets to know you, that all goes away. He is very devoted to those who care for him and is fairly obedient once he quiets down. He is not housebroken and is definitely an outdoor dog who needs room to run and play. He is good with other dogs, but definitely should not be around cats and other small animals. Because he likes to play rough, he also probably shouldn't be around small children, but would be great for the older ones. I have become quite attached to this dog and would be happy to keep him, except for the cat situation: I have rescued and adopted a feral cat colony and it is just not safe to turn him loose around here. He has to be kenneled all the time and deserves a better life. A small adoption fee to the right people that will give him a forever home. Email lamalan@atlantic.net.
Sydney
Sydney
Posted 1/4/2005 - Meet Sydney - 50% blue heeler/25% stubborn/20% sweetheart/5% mischievious. I saw Sydney in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in town. After two very near misses, I jumped from my car and called her. You've never seen a more relieved dog. I fully vetted and spayed her immediately. Now she needs a great home. I wish she could stay with us, but she is not happy with my other dogs nor them with her. She will need consistent obedience training to understand what you expect, but she does want your approval. She clearly was neglected and abused in her previous home. She loves my daughters, who are both very gentle with her. She plays very well with dogs her size but is a danger to smaller dogs and probably cats. We estimate her to be roughly 1+ years old, and she has the exuberance to prove it. If you think your home has enough room, love, and energy to commit fully to her transition, please call Michelle @ 770-707-1240 or email her at ariashheart@comcast.net.
Binga
Binga
Posted 8/31/2004 - Binga is a playful 10 month old that showed up at our doorstep on July 5th. At first she was timid but has quickly come out of her shell and adjusted to life with a foster family who loves her. She gets along very well with our three other dogs and loves to run around the yard with them. She is very obedient and does what she is told. Although she behaves very well around our one year old and two year old, she has been known, on occasion, to nip at their hands or feet in a playful manner, so we have to monitor her closely when she is with children. She has never shown a mean side and quickly behaves when told. She likes to be the center of attention! She especially loves playing in water and chasing after the hose. She has a kiddie pool all to herself that she jumps in and even lays in at times. She also knows how to play fetch! She needs a good home where she will receive plenty of attention. Possibly one with older children who will play with her. She is up to date with her shots and spayed and at her last check up she weighed in at 25 lbs. If Binga looks like she would work well with your family, please contact Natalie at natandchrislewis@wmconnect.com.
